Summary
Duties may include but not exclusive to:
As the Assistant Conference and Events Manager, your job role is to cover and work through the responsibilities given and tasks asked in the following areas:
- To be responsible for the day to day running of the events operations department, rotas, stock control and management, money handling, hygiene and health and safety
- To be responsible for the set up of conferences and banqueting standards according to the table plan and function requirements.
- Stock control of all conference and events materials.
- To ensure that a high standard of food and beverage service is maintained, both table service and from behind the function bar (age restrictions apply).
- To look after all guests and staff members, willingly, with great attention to the principles of hospitality and customer care.
- To be able to constantly adapt service styles according to each individual event.
- Anticipate guest and staff needs and respond accordingly.
- Deliver conferences and events in a professional manner.
- Know your product.
- Maintain the hotels “name” and ensure all guests leave impressed.
- Show patience and respect to your co-workers, in all departments of the hotel.
- Employ teamwork and help anyone who needs it.
- Ensure impeccable cleaning and organisation standards are maintained throughout the department.
