(Wedding ceremony - reception and a few nights stay all at the hard days night )
Where to start... I can not thank the team at the hard days night hotel enough for looking after us on our wedding day 25/09/15.
After attending an evening do there we began to have second thoughts about our already booked Cyprus wedding. When we 'sobered' up a few days later we made enquires to see if a wedding at the hard days night would be possible for us.
Marian was the first person we met, full of Irish charm, super charged with engery and enthusiasm. Marian talked us through every single detail, explained every aspect of the wedding to us as well as giving us lots of advise, hints &tips. ( which is helpful because my husband and I are not from Liverpool) She is reliable, prompt, and goes the extra mile. Marian also made a point of arranging meetings around our work schedules which often meant evening appointments. She was supportive&understanding. Marian listened and knew that we had a budget, nothing is a problem when you have the hard days night team looking after you... Everything is possible !
A few meetings before the wedding we were introduced to Rachel. Rachel is a bright shinning star who I didn't realise would become my shadow & guide me EVERY SINGLE step of the way on the wedding day. I began to feel nervous & agitated when I got into my dress. Rachel understood my requests and helped me usher my bridal party out of the John Lennon suite where we were upgraded to as a surprise !
Rachel guided the bridesmaids & was by my side every step of the way- I had a near paniac attack before walking up the aisle, Rachel reassured me ( not a easy task) I don't think it's in Rachel's job description to take me to the loo, assist me freshening up, help me do my lip stick sort my hair, get the veil off, spray with perfume, have a giggle with, offer me drinks - whilst trying to make sure the wedding day is flowing smoothly !! she did ! She helped me with everything because if it meant me feeling more comfortable, settled, happy then she was there to help.
I really can't put into words how many people commented on how I was looked after by Rachel, she is a star, a pal.. A diamond - this girl is a role model for young adults like my self & sets a shining example of hard work, good manners and determination.
This is a very long review but I still have loads to write but will never have the time or space on the page to put our expierence into words ... Thank you Dan for your input also. Thank you to the entire team from the door men helping transport wedding items, entire hotel staff went out of their way to make all guests feel welcome, the hotel is spotless , the food is yummy & the rooms are gorg, location is fantastic. Special thank you to the bar staff keeping the drinks flowing !
I hope the new owner of the hard days night see's this review- the hard days night wedding expierence would not be what it is without the people we encountered & the vibrant hard days night team. They really treat the hotel and service provided like a family Buisness ... The guests get treated like family too. So proud to be from Ireland but I am even prouder to live and have got married in Liverpool ! Keep up the good work xxxxxxxxxx
Dear Mr. Dewey,
We have just held our European Sales Meeting at your hotel this week and I felt I had to tell you about the excellent service we received from all your staff. They did us proud and everyone went away with very positive thoughts at the hotel and Liverpool on general. We had people from many different European countries and from the USA and they were all extremely complimentary, so I would ask you to pass on our thanks for all their efforts.
However, I must mention some people by name as they went the extra mile to make sure we had a successful and enjoyable time. Daniel with his help in the meeting room, Rachel with our Awards Dinner, Kevin and Kris, especially Kris, from a concierge point of view but most of all Marian Cotter. I worked with her from November last year to organise this event and without her help it would not have been anywhere as good as it turned out to be.
I will certainly be recommending your hotel to anyone who asks me about what is a good place to hold such an event. I fully expect some of our attendees to come back in the future for personal visits. Thanks again to all your staff.

Good Morning Marian, Sorry I didn’t contact you yesterday. It was our quarterly board meeting so my day was a bit of a whirl!!
I have had nothing but good feedback with regards to the hotel, rooms, food and staff. One of our longer serving Directors said that he would be very pleased if we were to hold more events with you in the future and that the rooms are nicer than those at the boutique hotel we’ve used for the past few years. I spoke directly to our Chairman,as it his call where we do these things and he was very pleased – especially as he had a room with a piano in it!
I am very happy as I know I can send my Senior guys to you and not worry about them. So thank you and all of your team for your hard work and efforts.

Good evening, Myself and my wife have just got married at your Hotel and although it was only 2 days ago I feel compelled to email you now and tell you both that the experience of the day was absolutely fantastic. The event has totally surpassed all of our expectations and this would never of been possible without the help and support of Marian and Rachael. The wedding was originally booked for Feb 2016 and the initial appointment with Marian and Rachael was attended were the overview was discussed. At that stage myself and Claire knew that this was the venue for us and the professionalism along with both of their abilities to engage with us on our level showing their great sense of humour and knowledge totally put us at ease.
I was then hit with some very sad news that my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I thought that the wedding would have to be put on hold as we were advised his health would decline rapidly. We discussed as a couple the possibility of it being brought forward but realistically for my dad to be there it would have to happen quite quickly which I thought would be unrealistic. Claire contacted Marian and explained the situation and she invited us in within 2 days of that call to sit down and discuss the options. To cut a long story short Marian and Rachael said that they could make it happen for us within the next 6 weeks (WOW). From this stage on due to things going on with my dad my involvement became less and less but I know the support they both gave Claire in arranging the event was above and beyond what they should of been doing. Arranging a wedding can be one of the most stressful things you can go through but to do it without the support of your partner i'm sure only heightens that stress but not with Marian and Rachael and their support for Claire in terms of sometimes daily contact, emails and face to face meetings is what got her through it.
I won't go on about the day itself as there is only one word for it "Unbelievable"!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sure you receive emails about them both regularly but I just wanted to personally email you and say that without them both our special day would not of been possible under very stressful and emotional circumstances. They are a credit to you, your hotel but more importantly themselves.
